The hares wore exceptionally strong, with the result that there were fow kills. The general opinion was that the meeting was the best held - for' many years. Results:— Waterloo Cup.—Fourth round: Pretty Mickey beat New Zealand Cadet; Better Luck beat Jack ivTac; Salvation beat Gatling Gun.. Laddie Beaumont, a bye. Semi-final—Pretty Mickey beat' Better Luck; Laddie Beaumont beat Salvation. Final.—J. Hannan's (Matiere) fawn dog Pretty Mickey (last year's winner) beat Bulleid and Davidson's (Hamilton) black and white dog Laddie Beaumont. Waterloo Plate.—Second round: Hiroa beat Riviera Rose; Danger Signal beat Molly Bawn; Flying Cadet beat Loyal Light. Raider, a bye. Semi-final.—Hiroa beat Danger Signal ; Raider beat Flying Cadet. Final—Dowliug Bros.' (Invercargill), black and white dog Hiroa, beat Child's and Hamilton's (Frankton) black and white Raider. Waterloo Purse.—Third round: Ocean Queen beat Fox Trot; Black Pearl beat Paddy Verse; Lochaw beat Twilight. Queen Bijou s a bye. Semi-final.—Black Pearl beat Ocean Queen; Queen Bijou beat Lochaw. Final.—Child's and Hamilton's black bitch Black Pearl beat J. Hannan's bnndle dog Queen Bijou.
