SONG RECITAL.
An enjoyable song recital was given by Mr. Leo Buckcridgo (basso-caritante) in the Art' Gallery last evening. -From an extensive repertoire Mr.. Buekeridge' selected a programme which" gaVe 'his dramatic talent full display." In -■ • His lighter -numbers he was'also"'equally ploaeing. For. the opening number' he selected "H Laeerato Spirito" (Verdi) and- "Aria di Chiesa" (Stradella), for which an encore 'was demanded, and Mr. Buckeridge replied with tho popular "0 Sole Mio." His other numbers included: "Yauof Saper,'" "Canto D'Autunno," and "0 Ma Charinan'e" (Quaranto); "Avo Maria" (Tosti)', with 'cello obbligato by Mr. Claude*Taniier; "0 Day Divine" (Oliv£)j .'.-Cb'mo'AVay Death" (Robert Parker); "Couia I 'Eoi--get" ■ (Arnold), with 'cello and yiplin obbligato by Mr.-Tanner and Miss-Doro-thy Mills; "In Sheltered yalc;':.'(D.'A!quen); and "When Bright Eyes-Glance" (Hedgcock). Mr. Claude Tanner contributed as 'cello solos "Orieritala" (Cvi) ; "Cantilena" (Goltermann); "Andante" (Kcengele); "Tarnntelje" (D. Popper); "Meditation from Thais," and "Lullaby" (Cyril Scott). Miss Dorothy Mills and Mr. , Edwin Tanner were efficient accompanists. . ,".'
