EVERYBODY'S THEATRE.

The chief attraction at Everybody's Theatre this week is a photoplay called buds, the star actress being popular Alary Pickford, and the scenes being those in a quarter of cosmopolitan London. Mnry I'ickford's latest picture will .add to her lame as a character actress. The theme of "Suds" is based on the famous play '' 'Op o' Me Thumb," and Mary Pickford plays the part of Amanda AfHick, the Cockney slavey, working in a London laundry. All the other girls in the laundry have love affairs, and talk about them. Poor little Amanda, however, is too unattractive to acquire a desirable beau, and this causes, her much anxiety. In desperation, she imagines a lover after her own hart,-arid weaves the most wonderful romance imaginable. How Amanda bluffs through all the humorous situations makes for laughs galore. There is, however, just' that touch of sadness which characterises most of the big pictures, and adds to their attractiveness. The other attractions on the programme are "The Timber Queen," with Ruth Roland in the leading part, and "Till We Meet Again," a story of American life, with one war scene. In the evening there is a pretty prologue by Misses Evelyn Wright and Joan Marshall, an introduction which*' takes the form of an Argentine tango. Everybody's Orchestra contributes bright acconipanying music throughout the entertainment.- ....-..'■ . -:.'.-.
