LODGE MEETINGS

The monthly meeting pf Wellington District Lodge, Np. 5, 1.0.0. F., N.Z. was held in Southern Cross Hall, Courtenay place, on Monday evening, tho District Deputy Grand Master (Bro. F. M. Lee, P.G.) presiding. There was a large attendance of past grands and other executive officers of'local lodges. Various matters of interest to the Order locally wero dealt with. In addition, one brother received the Pink Degree at. the hands of the District Degruo Master (Bro. 11. A. P. Watson, P.G.). Cleveland Lodge, No. 13, 1.0.0. F., N.Z., held . its fortnightly meeting at WaldieV Hall, Brooklyn, on Wednes, day evening, Bro. G. Claude, 1.P.G., presiding. Reports wero made in respect to recent meetings of the lodge's delegates to the local U.F.S. Medical Institute and U.F.S. Council. Zoalandia Lodge, No. 48, 1.0.0 F N-Z-, held its fortnightly meeting' at ot. Thomas' Schoolroom, Newtown, on Thursday evening, Bro. G. Kerr, P G presiding. There was a large attendance of members and visiting brethren from kindred lodges. In addition to routine business, two candidates were elected and initiated in regular fprm.

-t£. the meeting of Court Epuni, No. <314, A.0.F., the woodwards reported nine members on the sick fund. One new member was duly initiated into the Order P.D.C.R. Bro. Dixon was appointed delegate to the Wsllington Dispensary 3 ro . Thompson reported that v had been decided by the committee to hold a combined friendly societies' social and-dance. The C.R, reported that a visit would be paid,to the lodgo Order-of Oddfellows, to take part in a card game on 23rd August, and it was resolved lo open the court at 7pm that evejmg. A card tournament against teDru,j] B was pbyed,' and ended in a v_m ,or the Druids by the narrow mpi-Wn ot one game. . "
