MEETING OF MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE.
The weekly meeting of the Management Committee of the Wellington Rugby League was held in tbe League office last evening. There were present: Messrs. C. H. Snow (in the chair}, R, Duncan, W.. Anderson, F. Sage, G. Swan, S. Henderson, Compton, W. Whittington, E. Cunningham, W. Corcoran, and C. T. White (secretary).
A deputation from the Newtown Club •waited upon the-meeting with .reference to grievances between the club and the centre: Mr. Wilkey, on behalf of the deputation, explained the attitude the club had taken up. The secretary vras instructed to write to a player under discussion, .severely cautioning hsm, md lifting his suspension. The'deputation was thanked for attending.' Mr. Henderson, as manager of the team which went South last Saturday reported upon the trip, which was 'a financial success, showing a credit balance.
The secretary was instructed to write and thank the Canterbury Centre for the treatment the visiting teams received, especially thanking Mr. Moviefor assistance to the teams. A letter was received from the New Zealand Rugby League, Auckland, regarding the amusement tax, and the secretary was instructed to get into touch with the members for the district asking them to do their utmost to have the tax removed from League football.' " Correspondence from South Auckland was held over till Inter in the week. Messrs. Snow, Anderson, and H. Aird were appointed to meet Mr. J. Wineham (President of the West Coast Runny League) and .Mr. A. Betan (vice-presi-dent) to-morrow evening. . Mr. S. Henderson was appointed a senior selector, in con.iunHion -with Messrs. C. H. Snow and H. JSfunn.
