SERIOUS CHARGE
TVWnJ w n a Unff man named John Edward Heclderwiok, on a charge of indecently assaulting a. male, was commenced at the Supreme Court yesterday afternoon and was continued to-day. W Chief Just.cc (Sir Robert Stout) presided, Mr . P. S. Iv. Macassey and Mr. F. Ward appeared for. the Crown, and the accused was represented by Mr. W. Perry It was alleged by the Crown that the accused had visited a Hindu's house and had posed as a health inspector The defence suggested that the accused did not know what- he was doing at the time,' as he had been drinking heavily. Aftor a retirement of two hours the jury returned witlva verdict O f gmlty, with a recommendation that the prisoner should be medically examined. Prisoner was remanded until Saturday for sentence
