August;— "There is a little better demand for.wether mutton, and a better tone for ewes. Limbi are steady. There is very Httle, doing-in th» market for beef, for. which quotations are nominal owing to the strike. Light wethers, 7Jd to 9d per lb; heavy wethers, 6»d to 7d per lb; ewes, 4Jd to (id per lb; lambs. lOld to Hid per lb; lambs, seconds, 10id to IGJii per lb,"
