FIRES IN SUGAR PLANTATIONS

BRISBANE, This Day. Damage to the extent of £17,000 has been caused by fires in the caneficlds in the Murgrave district. The police discovered a candle and a rag saturated with kerosene in a field at Highleigh, where a dozen fires have been reported.
