As a result of the insertion of newspaper advertisements inviting applications for grants, seventeen new applications had been received, the total number submitted being 104. The fund now stands at £9955. On the 3rd instant £10,000 had accumulated, and the fund was paid to the college authorities to be utilised for the purpose named. This brings the grand total distributed for the year to £9015.
