SOUVENIRS PRESENTED
The English Electric Company, contractors for the electrical work, presented to Mr. Massey a gold Yale key, with which to open the power-house. To Mr. Coates the contractors presented a silver control handle, to operate the master control of the electric locomotive as he drove it through the ribbons at the opening ceremony. Mr. J. Hoglund, storekeeper, of Springfield and Otira, presented Mr. Massey and Mr. Coates each with a commemorative gold medal.
