(ET TELEGRAPH.—PMSS ASSOCIATION.)
CHRISTCHUECH, 4th August. The Boxing Council last night expressed its opinion that the North Island,; under the Auckland Conference decision, was morally bound to nominate two men for each, of the six classes at the Dominion championships if the men were available, and that if an association was . prepared "to finance men to. fill the. gaps in the :Korth Island. ; teanv such men were eligible to compete. The Christchurch Sports Club having appointed two junior judges for the M'Cleary v. Heeney contest, it was decided that if senior judges were not appointed, permission to have a match for the' championship be withdrawn. The Otago Association advised that the New Zealand championships would be held on 21st and 22nd August.
