The third grade selectors (Messrs. J. Leslie, Bourke, and Pollock) have chosen the following teams to play a trial game next Saturday with a view to the selection of the team to go to Palmerston North:—
A team.—Full-back, Henderson (Poneke); three r quarters, Eagle (Johnsonville), Hickling (Berhampore), Waterhouse (Poneke); five-eighths, Jackson (Wellington), Eaves (Selwyn); halfback, Foley (Eastbourne): wing-for-ward, M'Hard; forwards, Slogg (Petone), Harris (Poneke), Jordon (Petone), Russell (Eastbourne), Fuller (Upper Hutt), Ellison (Selwyn), Peck (Training College). B ( team.—Full-back, Barry (Marist); three-quarters. Braid (Upper Hutt), Crowther (Athletic), Eason (Training College); five-eighths, Walpole ("Varsity). Porter (Oriental); half-back, Bourke (Marist); wing-forward, Grieg (Berhampore); forwards, Hodgins (Oriental), Elliott (Johnsonville), Black (Eastbourne), Bognuda (Athletic), Butcher (Wellington). Borthwick (Athletic), Angus (V.M.C.A.). Emergencies: Backs, Jenkins (Petone), Goff (Poneke). Forwards, Reid (Old Boys), Patterson (Eastbourne), Smith (Training College).
