TO-DAY'S PROCEEDINGS
HOIJSE OF. REPRESENTATIVES
The House of Representatives met at 2.30 p.m.
The Baptist Union Incorporation Bill was read a second time and referred to the Committee of Selection.
Mr. L. M. Isitt (Chriatchurch North) gave notice to introduce the Religious Exercises Public School Bill.
In reply to Mr. V. H. Potter (Roskill), the Prime Minister said he thought it would be as well for people who had applied for State advances under the 75 per cent, system to make fresh applications if they wanted to avail themselves of the opportunity of obtaining 95 per cent, loans. It would be advisable, also, for those who had found that advances of 75 per cent, were insufficient, to make fresh applications if they wanted to borrow more under tha new Act, which, he thought, would enable the board to increase the amount of the advances. (Left Sitting.)
