SAILORS' FRIEND SOCIETY.
Men from sea found a congenial atmosphere at Mrs. Grant's concert to seafarers at The Sailors' Friend Society last evening. The performers were: Mrs. Montgomery, Misses G. Hutching, Henderson. Y. Hardy, Crombie. Beere, and Messrs. Rnyer. Edmonds, Coe, and Dickerson. Miss D. Henderson was at the piano. The prizes for the competitions came from Hataitai, and went to the 'La. Marseillaise, Arawa, and men in port.
Patrons are requested to make their reservations for to-morrow as early as possible, as owing to the popularity oi "Tho Ambassador," there is likely to be an excellent attendance. No pains have been spared to maintain a high standard, and a pleasant hour may bt spent at ibis lesdios cabaret
