CAED PLAYER FINED.

TIMARU. This Day. At the Police Court this morning; H. Nicholson was fined £10 for gambling with cards on the express train between Oamaru and Tunant. It was stated that defendant, who did not appear, and two others, named James Campbell and Lee, had merle a practice of travelling on the trains and South Island express, and were well known to the police. Lee is reported to be in Australia, and the police have been unable, to serve Cami> bell.
