NEW EXAMINATIONS
IN NEW SOUTH WALES SCHOOLS.

(Received 2nd August, 11 a m ) SYDNEY, This Day. The State Education Department'has decided to abolish the qualifying certificate examinations, and to substitute two tests of smaller dimensions, one for pupils entering commercial, technical, and cooking schools, and the other for pupils desirous of 'competing for bursaries or seeking admission to the high schools.
