• 'Varsity, in their second encounter with Hutt, again showed an all-round superiority, but the game, although onesided jn the matter of scoring, was of mi interesting order. The work of tho 'Varsity backs accounted largely for the substantial win, as the Hutt forwards showed up well against the opposing pack. 'Varsity had matters much their own way in the iirst spell, and ran up 16 points, while Hutt failed to score. Jackson scored three tries, and Murk* one. Jackson converted two tries. It was in the second spell that the suburban forwards were more prominent, but Varsity were able io add 11 points to their tally, as against 6 points obtained by Hutt. For 'Varsity, Adams and riiom.is each scored a try. Jackson converted x one try and lucked a penalty goal. Boyce obtained an unconverted
