SWIFTS v. SOUTH WELLINGTON.
Playing at Newtbwn Park, Swifts and South Wellington each scored one'goal. The game was fast all through^ and both teams gave- a good exhibition' of football: Swifts opened the scoring, Davis finding the net.. Shortly afterwards Bolt equalised. During the remainder of the game, play was very even, and at times exciting. Both sides tried.hard for the winning goal, but sound defensive work on both sides made scoring impossible. Mr. B. L. Salmon was the referee.
