AUDIT BEING COMPLETED.
(IT miO&APR.—PItSSS ASSOCIATION.) DANNEVIKKE, 21st June. Thomas Henry Jones, accountant, of Dannevirke, and secretary to the Arcadia Picture Company, who voluntarily surrendered to the police at Takapau yesterday, appeared before the Magistrate's Court to-day, charged with failing to account for the sum of £54 6s to the picture company. He was remanded till to-morrow. The police said that. accused admitted defalcations between £400 and £500, but the actual amount would be unknown -ntil the audit was completed. DANNEVIRKE, This Day. Thomas Henry Jones was further remanded till Tuesday next on a charge of misappropriation of .funds, when the police will be ready to proceed. Bail was granted and was forthcoming.
