Thomas Henry Jones, accountant, of Dannevirke, and secretary to the Arcadia Picture Company, who voluntarily surrendered to the police at Takapau yesterday, appeared before the Magistrate's Court to-day, charged with failing to account for the sum of £54 6s to the picture company. He was remanded till to-morrow. The police said that. accused admitted defalcations between £400 and £500, but the actual amount would be unknown -ntil the audit was completed. DANNEVIRKE, This Day. Thomas Henry Jones was further remanded till Tuesday next on a charge of misappropriation of .funds, when the police will be ready to proceed. Bail was granted and was forthcoming.
