PARLIAMENT'S PRAYERS
(UNIHD PRESS ASSOCIATION.—COPIRIGBI.) SYDNEY, 20th June. A deputation from Protestant churches, headed by Archbishop Wright, urged upon the Acting-Premier of New South Wales, that Parliament should be opened with prayer, instancing the Federal Parliament, the American Congress, ' and the Parliaments of other countries. One speaker contended that prayer might be a rebuke to intrigue. Mr. Oakes promised to refer the matter to Cabinet for approval.
