The Defence Department's steamer Lady Koberts, which has been obtained by the Samoari Administration to carry mails anil passengers between Apia and other parts oi the mandated territory, has been undergoing an extensive overhaul at Auckland recently. WITH CARGO FROM PACIFIC COAST. : The Swayne and lloyte Line steamer Las Vegas, en routs from Hu.nhult Bay. Grny's Harbour, and San Francisco, is scheduled 'to sail from Los Angeles witli cargo for Auck- ■ land; "Wellington, Melbourne, and Newcastle. The same company's steamer Vinita, from Puget Sound, Columbia Eivpr, ami San Francisco, is to leave Los AnKeles on the 30th August, also for the four ports mentioned.
