"BACK TO THE BIBLE"
One of the largest audiences of the. campaign was present in .the Town Hall last i evening to hear Dr. Trench Oliver's adI dress on the "Lague of Nations and Pro- ! phecy." Speaking from the prophet j Daniel, the preacher outlined: the proj phetic history of the non-Jewish nations, as prefigured in Nebuchadnezzar's image, and culminating in the federating of the democratic nations as rcpresentj ed in the toes of .the image. Tile League of Nations, contended Dr. Oliver, was the first manifest fulfilment of such a federation. He deplored the fact that the Covenant of the League contained not oven one reference to God or His Son. Christ would indeed come, he said, as foretold by Daniel, and like a mighty stone would fall upon the feet and toes of the image, abolishing democracy and introducing God's ideal of government, which was a theocracy.- Dr. Oliver conj eluded by urging his hearers to press into the Kingdom, of God without delay..
