Mr. Walter Marks, a member of the Australian Parliament, who has .just returned from Japan, saya he ia strongly struck by the prospects of wide expansion of trade with the East. In this connection he mentioned that New Zealand butter had a ready market in China, as ageiijst the rather poor trade for the Australian article. Goods from Australia were handicapped by bad labelling, (trading, and packing.
