DAIRY PRODUCE CONTROL
STRONCi OPPOSITION IN
TARANAKI.
STRATFORD, 15th July. 'A gathering of directors representing forty-nine dairy factories met at Strat-
ford to-day to further discuss the Dairy Produce Control Bill. Mr. A. Morton
presided. Mr. W. Cfrounds, Dairy Council chairman, fully explained the measure, mid in the discussion which followed the chief criticism was directed at the lack of detail regarding finance. It was finally resolved on the voices: " That this meeting is satisfied that the information, laid before it is not adequate to warrant granting the powers asked for in the Bill." ; It was also resolved that in any agreement for an improved shipping service, New Plymouth must br, i>iduded in the main port lid, \p v'vjw of Taranakj's large export of dairy produce..
