At a boxing tourney . to-night, Weston (Timaru) beat Ennis (Timaru); Andrews (Timaru) beat Lloyd (Oamaru) ; featherweights, Vincent Parker (Seadown) beat Joe Stewart (Timaru); welterweight, Nelson (West Coast) beat Leckie (Dunedin); catehweight, Eddie Parker (champion, light-heavyweight) beat Paterson (Sydney), the latter withdrawing at the tenth round after heavy punishment.

At the commencement of the tournament, Mr. Watson (official announcer) made sympathetic reference to the death of Cyril Whittaker, ' and the large attendance stood in' silence as a token of respect. In.the Parker-Pater-son bout the boxers took the ring wearing black sashes.
