EMPRESS THEATRE.

Izola Forrester's novel, "The Dangerous Inheritance," .has been adapted to the screen, and under the title of "How Women Love" was released at the Empress Theatre last night. Betty Blythe, of "Queen of Sheba" fame, has the leading role of Rosa Boma., daughter of aprima donna. The mother's voice is enhanced in the girl.' She is provided with a musical education by a millionaire whose day has passed, but who refuses to_ believe it. The exotic beauty of the singeri attracts him, and Eosa Roma finds herself the centre of a net of intrigue woven by her benefactor and a Russian spy, but the love of a struggling composer outwits the plotting, and true affection conquers. Miss Blythe wears some wonderful dress creations, and acts with that consummate charm of gesture and movement which is hers alone. A superb cast, including Gladys Huletto, T. S. Gordon, James Thomas, Anna Amas, and' Katharine Stewart, supports her. The settings are magnificent. There are other fine features of topical, comedy, and news interest, and Mr. Dixon's capable orchestra provides delightful music, the overture, "Cavalleria Rusticana," calling for special mention among a series of notable selections. There will be repetitions to-night and next week.
