WELLINGTON WELCOME WEEK
The executive of the Wellington Welcome Week started out to create "something exceptional" in the-W.W.W. Art Union. The first prize is £200 in value, and there are twenty-seven other prizes. Tickets are now obtainable from tobacconists, booksellers, clubs, any member of the committee, or by post from the secretary, W.AV.W. Art Union, P.O. Box 1306, Wellington. The first three prizes are alluvial gold, valued at £200, £50, and £25 respectively. Twenty-five prizes of £1 each are also being given. The Minister of Internal Affairs has granted the Wellington Racing Club a special permit (one being available) to hold a race meeting on the 7th July, the opening day. of Welcome Week.. This will fit in with the Racing Club's Winter Meeting, which will be held on fth, 11th, and 14th July. '
