PRINCESS THEATRE.

Quality, not quantity, rules in the cast which has been selected to support Jack Holt, the newly-created Paramount star who makes his debut as star in "The Call of the. North," which is the feature at the Princess Theatre today. Mad^e Bellamy, pretty and petite, plays opposite the star. The story commences with .the sad fate of a youn? couple who are separated by the' cruel influence of a factor of the Hudson Bay Company, who has a passion for the girl-wife. Th 6 couple die,. leaving a boy behind them. He is brought up to man's estate, and learning of the wrong done his parents sets out to avenge them. The result is thrilling in the extreme, and a pretty love story is entwined through the plot. "In the .Days of Buffalo Bill," the second feature on the programme, Art Acord ha? the stellar role and is supported by Dorothy Wood. It is a sensational tale of Indian warfare, in which a pony express rider and the famous Buffalo Bill play a prominent part. The building of the Union Pacific railway provides an excellent background for the story, and also forms one of the phases of the plot. A third feature, "The Face of the World," is also included, and features Edward Hearn and Barbara Bedford. A burning hospital, the wrecking of a high-powered motor-car, a thrilling rescue, and a sweet love story provide a sufficiency of interest for all lovers of- the silver-sheet. The remaining pictures have been selected with a view to giving variety to a very fine programme..
