KHANDALLAH BOYS' CLUB
For two or three years a very successful Boys' Club has been in existence in Khandallah, and the need for something of a similar nature for the girls and young women of the district has been evident for some time. The formation of a physical culture class has been decided on, and much valuable work has been done by Mrs. T. B. j Strong as convener. On Wednesday | evening a meeting to make preliminary arrangements and to organise the class was held in the Khandallah Anglican Sunday School. Mr. Duffy, physical] director of Wellesley College and V.M.C.A., delivered a lecturette, explaining the necessity for and the value of physical culture. A very fine demonstration of physical drill was given by some of Mr. Duffy's pupils from the V.M.C.A., after which about thirty pupils were enrolled. Owing to the large number of pupils offering, it ishoped to secure the Khandallah Town Hall, and to also start a juvenile class.
