Dr. Nansen, lecturing in Christiania on the situation in Russia, said that Communism had proved a complete failure, and now existed only theoretically. The 'capitalist system, he said which was now I being reintroduced, would be the salvation of the country. Dr Nansen estimated the present number of famine-stricken Russians at 4,000,000 or 5,000,000.
