THE HUTT RIVER
The Hutt River is &teadily rising again to-day > and if the weather continues it will prob- '>ly reach the level of four days ago. The groyne and protective works are being, carefully watched by the River Board. Since the subsidence of the river after Monday's flood, it has been discovered that some erosion has taken place in the Belmont district. This was examined by members' of the board to-day, and will probably be discussed at the next meeting of the board.
