MATERIAL FOR NEW CABLES
(Received 10th May, 11 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. Th'c steamer Stephan will arrive from London shortly with material for two new cables for the Pacific Cable Board. One is for the Southport-Sydney line and the other for the Suva-Auckland section. As the routes have already been surveyed the work of laying the cables will be started shortly aftev the. vessel's arrival.
