The steamer El Kantara, which is Inaugurating a direct three monthly service between Trance and New Zealand, via ports, left HunUirk on the 22nd April for "Havre, Bordeaux, Marseilles, Pointe a Pitre, Fort de France, Colon, Panama, Papeete, and Wellington. The vessel iB to leave Wellington about the first week in July, and the ports on the return voyage will be: Westport, Noumea, Port Vila, Suva, Papeete, Panama, Colon, Fort de France, Pointe a Pitre, Marseilles. Bordeaux, Havre, and Dunkirk. ORAEI TO COMPLETE LOADING. The Orari is to leave Blufl on Saturday morning for Wellington, via_ Koton. The vessel is expected here about the 16th May to complete her cargo, and should sail about the 18th May for London. MAKUBA FROM'VANCOUVER. . The E.M.S. Makura is expected at Suva next Monday morning from Vancouver and Honolulu, and is to continue her voyage to Auckland at noon on the same day. She is due at Auckland on the. 18th May. THE'CANADIAN SEIGNEUR. The Canadian Seigneur has been delayed In

coaling in Australia, and is now to sail for New Zealand on the 12tli May. She will load at Blutf, Dunedii), Lyttelton, and Wellington, and is due here on the 28th May. The vessel will later proceel to Auckland to complete loading, and should gall from there about the 4tl_ June for New York, Boston, and Montreal. WITH PACIFIC COAST CAEGO. According to a wireless message received from the Union Company's chartered Berengar, en route from San FruncUco, the vessel should arrive at Auckland to-night. After unloading part cargo at Auckland, the Berengar will proceed to Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne to complete discbarge of cargo from Pacific Coast ports. THE WAIPARA. The Waipara is now expected at Wellington on Sunday from Napier to continue loading. The vessel will leave Wellington on Tuesday for Lyttelton to complete her cargo, and should sail from lyttelton about the 18th May for Glasgow, Liverpool. Manchester, and Avonmouth. via Las Palmas. THE STRANDED SCOT, i Further particulars in connection with the stranding of the scow Scot, about a mile north-west of Whakatane Heads while bound from Auckland to Whakatahe %vith a cargo of coal, show that the mishap occurred through the breaking of the anchor chain, and the vessel dashed among the breakers. She piled up on the beach at the sandhills, and was little damaged. There is hope that she will bo floated off safely. The owner's son (Captain Aspden) was in charge of the j Scot, and he was assisted by a crew of two. in spite of the discomfort endured the captain and crew did not abandon the vessel. It is reported that neither the ve3ael nor its cargo was insured. . The Scot is a wooden scow of 18 tons, and was built at Auckland in 1905. She is now owned by Mr. J. T. Aspden, of Nortucote. His son is master of the vessel. For some time the Scot has been engaged in the Auckland-Bay of Plenty trade. On her present trip the vessel sailed from Auckland for Whakatane on the 27th April with a cargo of coal and general merchandise. WITH CAEGO FROM TEXAS. The Keardon Smith controlled steamer Bradford City is due at-Auckland shortly from.' Texas. She is bringing cargo for discharge at Auckland, Sydney, Newcastle, Melbourne, Adelaide, Wallaroo, and Freinantle. She cleared Panama on the 1-lth April. The steamer Atness, controlled by the same line, is expected to sail from Port Arthur, Texas, on the 24th May for Auckland, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, and Adelaide.
