FOR WELLINGTON CHILDREN

THE, RAINBOW FAIRIES 1 .. MESSAGE. Here is a little story, bringing real news; contributed by "Aunt Jolly," a lady who loves the little children of Wellington with a great love, so that it -is hoped that every boy and girl ■who, can read-it. will do so, and will tell tho smaller ones of the family the great news. It is concerned with a beautiful -Rainbow. Ball for Children, which will take place at the big Town Hall on 11th ;.May, ■ that is, 'to-morrow. -'Aunt Jolly" had a vision of a wonderful fairy 'which:arriyed,at her feet.when she was .quietly contemplating the beauties^ of our Mount .Victoria.' The fairy emerged :frora a. huge balloon, which burst at her feet and gave her a great fright; but it was so lovely she soon recovered, and listened to the good news for Wellington children which the fairy brought. The ball is to be. a most wonderful affair, and the fairy has provided balloons of ■■ all colours for the joy of the children, and the rainbow dance is to be better than any ever danced before. The fairy hoped that every, street, leading to the Town Hall on- Friday .evening would be crowded with happy partiea of -children, all hurrying along, to .have, the best.evening's .fun they ever had-in".their',little ''lives/ She hoped that .they would 'wear • fancy dresses if • they had. theni',. but'if they had not, it did not "'"matter a bit; they would be just, as welcome with an ordinary frock and a bright handkerchief round the head, or a paper cap, to add to the bright scene the fairies had ' prepared. Ever so many other things that are going to happen on that delightful evening were told to Aunt Jolly by the Rainbow Fairy, but the children must go along to the Town Hall to find it all out for themselves..
