A wellknown grazier between Saltwater creek and the Ashley river had 100 head of cattle washed out to sea, and a Waikuku settler- lost SO pigs. At Flaxton a farmer is the loser of 110 valuable stud ?heep. Considerable damage has been suffered in xesoeot to potato crops in Raddock. 'At CoJdstream 600.sacks are submerged to a depth, of two feet, and in an adioinine ipaddock a largel number id lacks are not visible at a 11... There are; large quantities of -potatoes not vei dug. and ft is considered these will be of no lujse at all now and will rot. - ,! ■Owing to the municipal gas-works being flooded, there was no eas available in the borough of Rangicra last night, consequently those whose premises are not connected with electricity had to fall back on kerosene lamps and candles.
