HAWERA, This Day. For the second day of the Egmont Racing Club's Meeting the weather is dull But warmer and clearing. There is a fairly large attendance. The course is very wet. Results: —
Ngamutu Hack Handicap, of 175 soys ; six furlongs.—Musketoon, 7.9. 1; Otapawa, 7.0, 2; Treadwell, 7.5, 3. Scratched: "Haligan and Second Choice. Won by a head, a neck between second and, third. Time, lmin 23Jsec. Manawapou Hurdle Handicap, of 200 soys; one mile and a half.—Price, 9.0, 1; Tinokoha-, 10.8. 2; Mervotia, 9.7, 3. Scratched): Otauru Kid and Valdina. Won by a. length. Time, 3min lOsec. Opeke Steeplechase Handicap, of 300 soys; about two miles.— Polthoeue, 9.7, 1; Gang Awa'. 10.8, 2; Passin' Through, 9.13, 3. Also started: PauJ Moore and Galicia. Won by ten lengths, fourteen lengths between second and third. Time, 4min 45sec.
Mokoia Handicap, of 225 soys; six furlongs.—Amber Tips, 7.9, 1; Leithfield, 6.7, 2; Big Push, 7.10, 3. Scratched : Sunny Jim. Won by a neck. Time, lmin 23sec.
