A SPEED TEST.
At a recent examination held at Gilby's College, Wellington, for the diploma of The Incorporated Phonographic Society, 19 candidates were presented and 19 passed— two with distinction. This examination is regarded by typists as tlio hall mark of efficiency. It consists of a speed test for ten minutes, writing a business letter, preparing financial statements, involving setting out and tabulation, and finally, typing a fair copy of literary manuscript with numerous coi> rectious and abbreviations.
