SAILORS' FRIEND SOCIETY.
An audience of seafarers at the Sailors' Friend Society last evening was entertained by a programme arranged by Miss V. Mueller. The performers were Megdames Montgomery and E. J. Burt, and the Misses K. Burt, H. Perry, M. Troon, Nickel, E. James, V. Mueller, and Messrs. V. S. James, Davidson, Mewhinney, A. Allen, Y. Anderson, and E. Kitts. Mrs. Burt was at the piano. Mr. Moore, missioner, answered questions by the men relating to temperance, and again pledges followed. .The prizes in the competitions came from the hostess, and went to Hurunui, Tremere, and Raranga.
