In Inverness Town Hall a picture, believed to be a Raeburn, has been discovered. A representative of an Edinburgh firm of art dealers was cleaning pictures in the hall when he came upon a portrait which, from its general characteristics, he thought to bo a Raeburn. When he reported the matter the portrait was recognised as one of Provost Inglis, who held office from 1797 to 1600. Kacburn is known to have been in Inverness about that time.
