CROQUET
HUTT CLUB.
A Very pleasant and enjoyable afternoon was spent by the ladies of the Lower Hutt Croquet Club on their greens last week, marking the closing of their season. The trophies, which were presented by their president, Mrs. H. G. Teagle, were won by the following:— Club's championship (championship cup and gold brooch, presented by Mr. E. J. Guiness): Mrs. E. Johnson ; runnerup (trophy presented by Mrs. Yates), Mrs. W. Bock.
Club pair* (club's silver buttons): Mesdames Bock and Eadie.
Handicap singles, A grade {No. 1 eventß) (trophy presented by Mrs. H. G. Teagle): Mrs. Johnson; runner-up (trophy presented by Mrs. Lees), Mrs. Bock.
Handicap singles, B grade, No. 1 event (trophy presented by Mrs. H. F. Ayson): Mrs. Fairbairn; C grade, No. 1 event (trophy presented by Mra. Lockett), Mrs. H. G. Teagle; runner-up (trophy presented by Mrs. Bock), Mrs. J. Stonehouse.
A grade, No. 2 event (trophy presented by Mrs. Eowe): Mrs. H. F. Ayson ; runner-up (trophy presented by Mrs. Judd), Mrs. E. Young; B grade, No. 2 event (trophy presented by Mrs. Sutcliffe): Mrs. Hendry.
B grade, No. 3 event (trophy presented by Miss Spurr): Mrs. H. Webley; run-ner-up (trophy presented by club), Mrs.
Kowe.
