TUNNEL FATALITY
AN OPEN VERDICT.
<»T TBLBORAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.)
CHRISTCHURCH, sth May. The inquest on George Harvey Parions, public accountant, of Chriitchurch, whose mutilated body was found in the Lyttelton Tunnel about half a miile from the Heathcote end on Wednesday, was concluded to-day. "It can! only be a matter of conjecture how this man came to be run over by the train in the Lyttelton tunnel," said the Coroner, Mr. Wyvern Wilson. It seems he had been happy in his private life and prosperous in his business, and there was no reason to suppose he had taken his life by placing himself in front of a train. The verdict returned was that the deceased died from injuries received through being run over by a train.
