DIAMONDS v. KARORI.
sPiamonds beat Karori by 1 goal to nil after a fast, open game. Karori kicked off, the forwards making things lively from the beginning withj a com^ bined attack. Several combined rushes originating in the Diamond back-line, tound the, Karori goalie hard pressed, and the Diamond forwards kept up the pressure, till Bolt, from a pass, shot a beautiful goal. Good Diamond forward work kept the opposing team continually on the. defensive, and several breaks by the biacks found the Karori backs somewhat out df position. Bright and open play, in which Muir and Mason were prominent, found Karori in.a ecor-1 ing position, and corner resulted.. Macintyre- took the kick, but the strong wind carried the ball away, and Diamonds took the game towards.Karori's ?bal.' A few minutes later Dunn se' cured .and dribbled up .to .the .Diamond goal-mouth, but missed an easy shot, the ball flying high over the ban Karori forwards and backs were playing Well, and with combination, but they misled several chances of scoring through weak shooting. Both sides made strenuous efforts to score in the latter, part of the game, but Without avail, and the match ended. Diamonds 1, Karori nil. Mr. J. Baty refereed.
