CHILD DROWNED
KOTORUA, This Day. ■ Gabriel Loffley; a half-caste child, 6£ years old, the son of Mita Loffley, left a house at Ngapuna at 2 p.m. on Sunday and was'; found dead at 2.45 p.m in a small, warm pool near Paurenga Stream. The water was only five inches deep, and the child is supposed, to have been, overcome by fumes while bathing. :
