At the annual meeting of tho Miramar Band on Friday night, Mr. and Mrs. G. Newton were presented with an enlarged photograph of themselves as a token of esteem on the part of the band members. Mr. W. E. Newton was accorded a vote of thanks for auditing the balance-sheet, which, along with the annual report, was adopted. Messrs. J. H. Bethuno and Co. offer by auction at noon to-morrow on the ground, two buildings for removal, Nos. 19 and 21, Thorudon quay, each of bix rooms, the buildings to be removed within fourteen days.
