GISBORNE, This Day,
Gus. Heikell, aged 14, a cowboy at Ngatapa, %vent to round-up cows yesterday afternoon, carrying a pea rifle. He failed to return, and his employer, after a search, found him unconscious, with a bullet wound in his abdomen. He had apparently been thrown from his horse and the gun exploded in tHa fall. His condition ,-is serious.
