At Trenton, New Jersey, the racing stable and barns of the Roncocas stock farm, housing fifty of the finest stallions and mares in America, were destroyed by fire, thirty-five horses being burned to death. The- loss of these amounts to a total of 1,500,000 dollars (approximately £300,000). Ths destroyed animals comprised probably the finest group of racehorses under a single ownership in America. '
