PARAMOUNT AND ARTCRAFT.
Reginald Denny, who has sprung into fame recently as an actor of the silversheet, plays the leading character in "The Kentucky Derby," now screening at the Paramount and Artcraft Theatres. He is supported by Lillian Rich, Emmett King, Walter, M'Grail, and Gertruda Astor, the minor characters all being in the hands of clever actors. The picture was directed by King Baggot, made famous as the director of; "Human Hearts." The locale of the; story is placed in Kentucky, New York, and on an island off the coast of China. - The story has an interesting plot,-, which hinges round the lives of a Kentucky colonel and his. son and adopted daughter. .The final climax is reached with the running of the Kentucky Derby. The second feature is "Arabia," in which the popular star Tom Mix plays the leading role. He changes places,with a prince, goes through some thrilling adventures in desert and city, and even-, tually wins his heart's desire. A welltrained horse plays a prominent part in the story, and the final climax is exciting. The supports are good, and specially-selected music will be played at both theatres.
