LONDON MEAT MARKET.
The Department of Agriculture has received the following cablegram, dated 14th April, from the High Commissioner for New Zealand: —"Heat: Market very depressed on account of continued heavy arrivals of chilled beef. New Zealand mutton, very slow; no sain., of ewes.- Large supply ot Australian and liWer Plate wethers available. Mew Zealand frozen beef not quoted. New Zealand mutton: 49-B6lb, BJd io 9d; 66-721b, 6Jd to 7d; 7S-801b, 5Jd. Australian and Biver Plate wethers, 4jd to 5Jd per lb. New Zealand Lamb: Best quality, lightweight, UJd; Canterbury, second class, lid; best North Island, lid; ordinnrv North Island, lOd. New Zealand Beef: Ox fores, not quoted; ox hinds not quoted. Chilled Beef: I'ores, 2d to 2jd; hinds, 4Jd to 5d."
