PRINCESS THEATRE.
A good programme at the Princess Theatre to-day includes a Paramount super-feature, "The Law and the Woman." The picture marks the return of Cleo Ridgley. erstwhile star, to the 'screen, and demonstrates that ehe has lost none of her finesse as an actress. It presents an exceedingly strong dramatic climax in the last reel, one that carries suspense and action. The story qoncerns the efforts of a. young wife to s:"ve her 'husband from being electrocuted for a murder he did not commit, the plan being for the wife to impersonate a woman of the streets in order to' force a confession from the lips of the real culprit. All in all, it is a. picture that will please most and add to the star's laurels as an actress, of talent.
