Thirty-four Marseilles doctors have been arrested for defrauding the French Treasury of £430,000. During tha was." they filled in voucher forms relating to imaginary sick and wounded soldiers, and thus secured payments for treatment and medicine, ranging from 20 to 500 francs per case. A number of chemists are also .charged with presenting fraudulent vouchers in connection with 3000 expensive prescriptions for phantom patients.
